Model and storage, then contents: “PS4 Slim 1TB with Controller and Games”. Original, Slim and Pro are three different prices, so the model is essential. Bundling games moves a PS4 far faster than selling it bare, and cartridge-free discs are cheap to include.

1. Run a game for twenty minutes and listen. If the fan is loud, say so; if it is quiet, that is a genuine selling point worth stating.
2. Gather the power lead, HDMI, controller and its charging cable, and note whether it is the original, Slim or Pro model.
3. Factory reset the console and deactivate it as your primary PS4 so the buyer can use their own account.

Working ones with the original controller and cables sell steadily, and the earlier models that are no longer made have a collectors’ market. A failing optical drive is the fault that most often ends the value, so test a disc before listing.
