• Whether it comes with box, papers or service history

Brand, model, era and movement: “Omega Seamaster, c.1965, Manual Wind, Original Dial”. “Original dial” is a phrase collectors search for and it carries real weight — only use it if true. Say if the dial has been refinished, because experienced buyers will spot it.

Preparing and photographing it

1. Photograph the dial, the case back, the movement if you can open it safely, and any serial numbers.
2. Establish what is original: dial, hands, crown, bracelet. Replaced parts are common and must be disclosed.
3. Wind it and check it runs, and time it over 24 hours to report the daily rate.

Steady with an active collector base. Well-documented, honestly described pieces sell quickly; vague listings on valuable watches sit because buyers assume the worst.

High value and easily disputed. Use fully tracked and insured postage, photograph everything before sealing, and welcome an independent inspection if the buyer wants one.

Are cheap keyboards worth selling?

Not for much. Unweighted entry-level keyboards were inexpensive new and there are many about. The weighted digital pianos are a different and better market.

Why has my vintage watch display faded?

The LCD degrades with age and is not economically repairable. Photograph the display as it actually looks rather than at an angle that hides missing segments.
