What holds its value across Off-White

• Abloh-era pieces from 2013 to 2021, which are now a closed body of work and are searched for as such
• The signature diagonal stripes and quotation-mark graphics, which are what buyers recognise the label by
• Collaboration pieces, particularly with Nike, which sit in a different price bracket entirely from mainline Off-White
• Anything with the original red or orange zip tie still attached, which a large part of this market treats as part of the product

What pulls Off-White resale value down

• Cracked or peeling screen prints, which is the usual failure on the graphic pieces and is immediately visible
• A missing zip tie, which is a small thing that buyers nonetheless ask about every time
• Yellowed soles and midsoles on the sneakers, which is the normal end state and is not reversible
• Post-2021 mainline production, which is a different design era and does not carry the same premium

Identifying and dating yours

1. The interior label carries a season code that places the piece in or outside the Abloh era, which is the fact that decides the price
2. Photograph the zip tie, the barcode label and the neck label together, since that is the set of images buyers on this label expect
3. The diagonal stripes should be printed cleanly with even spacing, and buyers compare the graphic against reference images before committing

• Whether the hood and fur trim detach, and whether the fur is real or faux

• Whether it is waterproof, showerproof or neither, and whether the coating still works

Fill, features and size: “Down Filled Parka with Detachable Faux Fur Hood, Khaki, Size L”. Fill type is the warmth signal buyers search on. Say whether the fur is real or faux — buyers care both ways and it is not something to leave ambiguous.

Preparing and photographing it

1. Read the label for the fill: down, feather or synthetic wadding, and the outer fabric.
2. Check the hood, its fur trim and whether both detach, plus every zip, popper and drawcord.
3. Test whether water still beads on the outer, and say honestly if the coating has washed off.

Because Virgil Abloh designed the label until 2021, and pieces from that period are collected as his work. The season code on the interior label places a garment on one side or the other of that line.

It is not structural, but buyers ask about it consistently and a piece with the original tie attached sells more easily. If yours is missing, say so rather than photographing around it.
