Condition on WishThrift is described by the seller against five grades, and nobody inspects it on your behalf — so the description and the photographs are what you are buying on.

The checklist before you pay
Paperwork above everything. A vehicle without a matching registration document, or with outstanding finance, is a problem you inherit.
Run through these before money changes hands — they are the things that decide whether a car stereo is worth what is being asked:

- Failed CD mechanisms
- Very old units with no modern connectivity

Questions to ask the seller
These are the three that get asked most often about a car stereo, and the answers tell you most of what you need:

Say single or double DIN and give the dimensions. It is the fitment constraint and buyers are matching a specific dashboard aperture.
Check and say. Harnesses and cages are model specific and a unit without them is far more awkward to fit.
