What to state in the listing

• External dimensions including wheels, and capacity in litres if known
• Hard or soft shell, and two-wheel or four-wheel spinner
• Weight empty, which matters against airline allowances
• Wheel, handle and zip condition, and whether it has a working lock

Size, type and brand: “Large Hard Shell Suitcase, 4 Wheel Spinner, 75cm, Samsonite”. Overall height with wheels is what buyers check against airline limits, and spinner versus two-wheel is a genuine preference people search for.

Preparing and photographing it

1. Roll it loaded across a hard floor and listen. Worn or seized wheels are the main reason cases get replaced.
2. Extend and retract the handle several times, checking for play and that it locks at each height.
3. Check the zips all the way round, the feet, and the lining for tears, then measure it externally with wheels included.
