2. The season stamp on jewellery and belts is cast into the reverse of the plaque as a year and a season letter, and buyers search by exactly that
3. Count the stitches per quilt diamond and photograph the interlocking CC turnlock straight on, because both are things buyers compare against reference photos

Preparing and photographing it

1. Roll it loaded across a hard floor and listen. Worn or seized wheels are the main reason cases get replaced.
2. Extend and retract the handle several times, checking for play and that it locks at each height.
3. Check the zips all the way round, the feet, and the lining for tears, then measure it externally with wheels included.

Does a missing authenticity card lower what a Chanel bag sells for?

Yes, noticeably. The card and hologram are what a cautious buyer looks for first, and a bag without them takes longer to sell and usually goes for less. List clearly what you do and do not have rather than leaving it unsaid.

Is Chanel costume jewellery worth selling secondhand?

Often more than people expect. Dated season stamps make individual pieces collectable in their own right, and brooches and chain belts from specific years have a following that has nothing to do with the bags.
