Preparing and photographing it

1. Run a hot empty cycle with a cleaner, then clean the filter, the spray arms and the door seal by hand.
2. Check the door seal for splits and the racks for rust on the tine tips, which is the classic sign of age.
3. Note the model number from the door frame and run a full cycle so you can state honestly that it works.
