Like New is one of the five condition grades a seller can put on a WishThrift listing, and it sits at roughly 85% of what the same item makes at the top grade. What it means in practice depends entirely on what the thing is, so the 24 category guides below each say where the line falls for that kind of item.

| Like New Art & Collectables | Displayed briefly out of direct light. Any fading, foxing or a mount line means Good, and on paper those changes do not reverse. |
| Like New Baby & Kids | Used for a few weeks, as this category so often is. Staining, a faded canopy or worn harness webbing all move it to Good. |
| Like New Bags & Handbags | Used a few times with nothing to point at. The moment the corners show rub or the hardware has lost its shine, it is Good. |
| Like New Bicycles & Cycling | Ridden a few times. Once the chain has measurable stretch or the brake pads show wear, it is Good rather than this. |
| Like New Books | Read once with care. A creased spine, a bumped corner or any name written inside moves it into Good. |
| Like New Cameras & Photography | A few outings. Low shutter count, no brassing on the edges, and glass that is clear against a light with no dust drawn in. |
| Like New Clothing | Worn once or twice and washed at most once. The moment a buyer can point at pilling, a stretched cuff or a faded panel, it is Good. |
| Like New Electronics | Lightly used, fully working and factory reset, with the battery still holding close to its original run time. |
| Like New Furniture | Used briefly with nothing to point at. No ring marks on the top, no sag in the seat, and every joint still tight when it is rocked. |
| Like New Gaming | Played briefly. Discs without a mark under angled light, sticks with no drift at all, and a console that runs quiet. |
| Like New Home & Garden | Barely used and unmarked. Once a fabric has faded on one side or a surface has picked up a ring, it belongs in Good. |
| Like New Jewellery & Watches | Worn a few times with no wear through the plating and no scratch you could catch a nail on. Any dulled edge puts it in Good. |
| Like New Kids’ Clothing | Worn a few times before it was outgrown. Bobbling at the knees or cuffs, or a name written in, puts it into Good. |
| Like New Kitchen & Appliances | Used a handful of times and cleaned properly. Any lifted non-stick, any limescale in the tank, and it is Good instead. |
| Like New Men’s Clothing | Worn a couple of times. Any shine on the seat or the elbows, or a collar that has rolled, moves it down into Good. |
| Like New Music & Instruments | Played lightly and set up well. Once the frets show a groove under the strings or the finish has buckle rash, it is Good. |
| Like New Pet Supplies | Used briefly and washed. Any chew marks, any hair that will not come out of the seams, and it is Good instead. |
| Like New Shoes & Footwear | A handful of wears. There is a faint crease at the flex point but the tread depth is untouched, and the heel still stands square. |
| Like New Sports & Outdoors | Used a few times. Compressed padding, frayed webbing or worn grip tape all move it into Good, however new the colours look. |
| Like New Tools & DIY | Used on one job. Any dust worked into the vents, any play in the chuck, and it belongs in Good rather than here. |
| Like New Toys & Games | Played with lightly and complete with its box. Once a piece is missing or the box is gone, it cannot be this grade whatever the condition. |
| Like New Vehicles | Barely used, fully documented and unmarked. Any advisory on the last inspection, or a gap in the history, puts it in Good. |
| Like New Vinyl & CDs | Played a handful of times on decent equipment. Any audible surface noise between tracks means it is Good rather than this. |
| Like New Women’s Clothing | Worn once or twice, with the cut and the drape untouched. A stretched neckline or a dropped hem means Good however few times it went out. |
