Second-hand gaming in Dundee typically sells for £5 to £900 (about $7 to $1,200). Retro titles answer to scarcity and to how well the box and manual survived, and a complete boxed copy can be worth many times a loose disc. Anything still current is held down by the price of a new one.

Buying gaming in Dundee
Dundee was built on jute, jam and journalism and has reinvented itself around a design museum on the waterfront, two universities and a video games industry that started here and remains significant. The waterfront redevelopment has changed the city entirely.
Regional coding still catches people out, and a disc or cartridge from the wrong territory may simply refuse to run. Trying the exact combination in front of you removes a problem that is tedious to unpick afterwards. Locally, video games are one of the few things that move reliably enough to be worth listing on their own.
What to check in person
Ask for it to be set up and running before you arrive, then load a game yourself rather than watching a menu. Listen to the disc drive, check every controller port and make sure the console has been removed from the previous owner’s account.
Collecting it in Dundee
It fits in a bag, so most people meet on the way to something else. A station or a high street works, and neither side needs a car.
The waterfront and the city square are the landmarks everyone uses and the centre is compact. The city climbs steeply away from the river, so ask about steps for anything heavy.
Selling your gaming in Dundee free
Two universities clear student housing each June, and the games and design sector moves people on project cycles. Home-office and computing equipment turns over faster here than the city’s size would suggest.
Reset the console and remove your account before the buyer arrives, because a machine still signed in is the commonest reason a local sale falls apart on the doorstep. Say exactly which cables and controllers are included. Peaks sharply before Christmas and again when a new console generation is announced.
Most private sales settle by bank transfer or cash on collection. Faster Payments clear in seconds, which makes a transfer as safe as cash for the seller — wait for it to land before the item leaves your hands.
