Second-hand vinyl & CDs in Raipur typically sells for ₹100 to ₹11,000 (about $1 to $115). The details in the run-out groove separate a first pressing from everything after it, and buyers who care will check them. Country of manufacture matters as much, with some territories’ pressings sought far more than others.

Buying vinyl & CDs in Raipur
Raipur is the commercial and administrative centre of a heavily industrial state, with steel and agriculture dominating the wider economy. The market here is practical and price-led.
Records are heavy, fragile in the post and easy to inspect in the hand, which is why so much of the trade happens face to face. A buyer wants to slide the disc out and tilt it to the light, and no photograph substitutes for that.
What to check in person
Tilt the disc under a light and look across the surface rather than straight at it, which is how you see scuffs and hairlines. Check the spindle hole for wear, and look at the sleeve seams and the bottom edge, where damp and shelf wear show first.
Collecting it in Raipur
It fits in a bag, so most people meet on the way to something else. A station or a high street works, and neither side needs a car.
The city is comparatively easy to drive with reasonable parking, so collection is uncomplicated. Industrial areas are some distance from the residential centre.

Industrial and administrative employment move households steadily rather than seasonally. Summer heat is severe and cooling equipment turns over on a sharp annual cycle.
Clean the disc and put it in a fresh inner sleeve before anyone sees it, because that alone lifts what people will pay. List every insert and say plainly if one is missing, and pack a collection into boxes light enough to carry. Steady all year, with a clear lift around Record Store Day and again before Christmas.
UPI has largely replaced cash for in-person handovers and is instant and traceable, which suits a private sale well. Cash on delivery is still widely expected for anything posted, and it is worth deciding your position on it before you list.
