Sell Your Sneakers in India

Used sneakers in India typically sell for ₹2,550 to ₹15,500 (about $27 to $160). Sneakers sell on model, size and sole condition, and buyers zoom straight in on the midsole and heel — so photograph the soles before anything else.

What lifts the price

  • Deadstock or barely-worn condition with the original box
  • Original laces, inserts and any spare set

What pulls it down

  • Sole separation, common on older stored pairs
  • Missing box on releases where collectors expect it

Selling sneakers in India

UPI has largely replaced cash for in-person handovers and is instant and traceable, which suits a private sale well. Cash on delivery is still widely expected for anything posted, and it is worth deciding your position on it before you list.

India Post, Delhivery and DTDC all offer nationwide coverage, and courier cost varies sharply between metros and smaller towns.

Negotiation is normal and expected rather than a sign of a difficult buyer. Price with a little room in it and say whether the price is firm.

Working out what yours is worth

  • Photograph the soles and toe box honestly in daylight
  • Search sold listings for that exact style code and size

Getting it ready

  • Clean them properly: uppers, midsoles and laces. Cleaning is worth more on sneakers than on any other clothing item.
  • Photograph the size tag inside the tongue, and note whether it is UK, US or EU sizing.

Photograph

  • The soles, side by side, showing tread and heel wear
  • Any crease, scuff, yellowing or separation, close up

Put in the description

  • Brand, exact model and colourway
  • Size, with the sizing system stated explicitly

Cheap and easy to post. Use the original box inside a mailing bag if you have it, and stuff the toes with paper so they keep their shape in transit.

Steady all year with a lift before Christmas. Popular models in common sizes sell within days; unusual sizes take longer but attract determined buyers.

It costs nothing to list

There is no listing fee, no selling fee and no commission, so the ₹15,400 a buyer pays is the ₹15,400 you keep. You and the buyer settle up and arrange the handover between yourselves; WishThrift does not hold the money or ship the item.

Where in India

Common questions

Where can I sell sneakers in India?

List it free on WishThrift and deal with the buyer direct. There is no selling fee, so the whole amount stays with you. UPI has largely replaced cash for in-person handovers and is instant and traceable, which suits a private sale well. Cash on delivery is still widely expected for anything posted, and it is worth deciding your position on it before you list.

How worn are the soles?

Photograph both soles flat. Buyers judge remaining life from the tread and heel, and a clear photo answers it better than words.

Which used sneakers are worth the most?

Limited releases and sought-after colourways, particularly unworn with the original box. Ordinary trainers sell for modest sums whatever the brand.

Does the original box matter?

For collectable pairs, considerably — it can be a large share of the value. For everyday trainers it matters much less.
