Common questions
Where can I sell a cookware set in the US?
List it free on WishThrift and deal with the buyer direct. There is no selling fee, so the whole amount stays with you. Peer-to-peer payment apps dominate private sales, and buyers will usually offer one before they offer cash. Sales tax does not apply to a private sale between individuals.
Will they work on induction?
Hold a magnet to each base and report the result. A magnet that grips means it will work, and that test is more reliable than anything printed on a decade-old pan.
Is a warped pan worth selling?
Not really, especially for induction users where a flat base is essential. Check by sitting it on a level surface.
Does cast iron need restoring before selling?
Light surface rust cleans off and re-seasons easily, and a properly seasoned pan sells better. Heavy pitting is harder to recover.
