Sell Your Food Processor in the US

Used food processors in the US typically sell for $27 to $150. Processors are worth what their attachments are worth, because the blades and discs are model-specific and expensive.

  • Complete attachment sets with all blades and discs
  • Undamaged bowls with no cracks

What pulls it down

  • Cracked bowls and lids, which are model-specific
  • Discontinued models with no spares

Selling a food processor in the US

Peer-to-peer payment apps dominate private sales, and buyers will usually offer one before they offer cash. Sales tax does not apply to a private sale between individuals.

USPS, UPS and FedEx all cover the country. USPS Ground Advantage is normally cheapest for anything under a few pounds in weight; above that the gap narrows quickly.

Demand rises through the spring cleaning season and again around college move-in in August, when furniture and small appliances move fastest.

Working out what yours is worth

  • Lay out every blade, disc and attachment
  • Run it to confirm the interlock engages

Getting it ready

  • Fill the bowl with water and run it briefly to check for leaks and cracks around the spindle.
  • Clean everything, including the seal and the underside of the lid, where old food collects and smells.

Photograph

  • Every attachment laid out beside it, so the buyer can count them
  • The bowl held to the light, showing whether it is clear or crazed

Put in the description

  • Whether the bowl and lid are crack free, and whether parts are dishwasher safe
  • Motor condition, and confirmation you have run it

Brand, model and attachments: “Magimix 4200XL Food Processor with 3 Bowls and All Blades”. Model numbers matter enormously here because attachments are model specific, and buyers frequently search for a processor to match parts they already own.

Lifts before Christmas and in January. Known brands with a full attachment set sell within a week; unbranded machines with missing parts can sit for a long time.

It costs nothing to list

There is no listing fee, no selling fee and no commission, so the $148 a buyer pays is the $148 you keep. You and the buyer settle up and arrange the handover between yourselves; WishThrift does not hold the money or ship the item.

Where in the US

The United States is a big place and what sells well moves with it. These are the parts of the United States with their own page for food processors.

Common questions

Where can I sell a food processor in the US?

List it free on WishThrift and deal with the buyer direct. There is no selling fee, so the whole amount stays with you. Peer-to-peer payment apps dominate private sales, and buyers will usually offer one before they offer cash. Sales tax does not apply to a private sale between individuals.

Which attachments are included?

Name each one and photograph them together. Replacement discs and blades are expensive relative to a used machine, so completeness is most of the price.

What is a safety interlock?

A switch preventing the motor running unless the lid is locked. If it fails the machine will not start, which buyers treat as a fault.

Are cracked bowls replaceable?

Only on brands that still supply spares. On discontinued models a cracked bowl often ends the machine.
