Sell Your Treadmill in the UAE

Used treadmills in the UAE typically sell for AED 395 to AED 2,000 (about $110 to $540). Treadmills are heavy, hard to move and often bought on impulse, which keeps the second-hand market well supplied and prices low.

What pulls it down

  • Worn or slipping belts and grooved decks
  • Dead consoles, which often cannot be replaced

Selling a treadmill in the UAE

Bank transfer and cash on collection are both normal. Confirm funds have cleared before handing anything over.

The UAE has an unusually active second-hand market driven by how often people arrive and leave — relocation sales mean good-quality items turn over quickly and often at well below their age.

The Emirates is a pre-launch market, so this is what a seller here should expect when it opens. The population turns over unusually fast, and that shapes the whole market: relocation sales put nearly-new furniture, appliances and cars on the market at heavy discounts, and the best stock appears in concentrated bursts as people leave. Distances are short and courier coverage is quick and cheap, so postage is rarely the obstacle it is elsewhere. Expect buyers to move fast and to expect a reply the same day.

Turnover peaks around the summer, when a large share of relocations happen and whole households are sold at once.

Working out what yours is worth

  • Check belt tension and look for wear down the centre
  • Measure it folded and unfolded, and be honest about weight

Getting it ready

  • Run it at walking and running speed and listen for belt slip, motor whine or a grinding roller.
  • Measure it assembled and folded, and weigh up honestly whether it fits through your doorway and down any stairs.

Photograph

  • The console lit and running, with the speed visible
  • The belt surface close up, showing centre wear
  • Folded, if it folds, with dimensions clear

Put in the description

  • Brand, model, and maximum speed and incline
  • Assembled and folded dimensions, plus approximate weight
  • Belt condition and whether the motor runs quietly under load

Collection only, and access is the whole negotiation. State the floor, the stairs and whether you can help lift. Being honest about a first-floor treadmill loses you some enquiries and saves you many wasted appointments.

Sharply seasonal. January is by far the strongest month, with a secondary lift in autumn. Selling one in June typically means accepting a much lower price or waiting.

It costs nothing to list

There is no listing fee, no selling fee and no commission, so the AED  1,977 a buyer pays is the AED  1,977 you keep. You and the buyer settle up and arrange the handover between yourselves; WishThrift does not hold the money or ship the item.

Common questions

Where can I sell a treadmill in the UAE?

List it free on WishThrift and deal with the buyer direct. There is no selling fee, so the whole amount stays with you. Bank transfer and cash on collection are both normal. Confirm funds have cleared before handing anything over.

Does the belt slip?

Test it at running speed, not walking. Belt slip under load is the classic used-treadmill fault and it will be found immediately.

Are used treadmills worth much?

Prices are low relative to new, because supply is high and moving them is difficult. Folding models sell more easily than fixed frames.

What wears out on a treadmill?

The belt and deck. A belt worn down the centre or slipping under load is the most common fault and should be disclosed.
